Casey wanted a super power too. Apparently word was getting around about our earlier successful test subjects. Casey wasn't employed at Tiresias Global, but for a nominal fee, we were happy to offer our services to the public.
After a long flight out to our headquarters in Hawaii and a little time in our lab, she emerged a new woman with super powers.
She was the first to get super speed. That was all we intended to give her. Somehow she also got the ability to fly, phase through solid objects, and read minds. We didn't mean to give her all those powers. Our technology is still a bit on the experimental side. We're honestly not entirely sure how it all works.
Anyway, Casey started having a lot of fun with her new powers. Too much fun. She decided it was no accident she got so many — clearly she had a higher purpose. She decided to become the world's newest super hero.
She's still working on her costume and name.
